For over ten years Church of the Redeemer has been a vital part of the Sonrise School story. This school has served the poorest of the poor in a nation that was torn by ethnic violence in a terrible genocide in 1994. Today Sonrise continues its mission, earning its ranking last year as the number one school in the country, healing the hearts and lives of those who will lead the nation in the next generation.

You can join this story by being a part of our annual benefit to support Sonrise, Saturday October 24th at the Renaissance North Shore Hotel in Northbrook. This banquet is the primary source of consistent operational support for the school.

Special guest will be Bishop John Rucyahana, founder of Sonrise School, and recipient of the 2009 Wilberforce Prize, given to honour his work in reconciliation and restoration in Rwanda.
