COR@9: Conversations on Race
May 26 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The work of justice remains important for followers of Christ, even in this season in which our hearts and minds easily become preoccupied with our own needs. In the midst of all the COVID headlines the past few weeks, you might have noticed the name Ahmaud Arbery, or Breonna Taylor, or read about the growing evidence of racial disparities in those most affected by COVID-19. As Christians who believe all human beings are made in the image of God, we know these lives matter — but we don’t always know how to respond.
This Tuesday May 26th we’ll be having some conversation about these ‘current events’ related to race, as well as some time to pray about them. What happened, and why? How does race play into these situations? What response might Jesus desire from us and our community? To join this Zoom call, contact our church office.
