WELCOME: THE BOOK OF ROMANS

On Sept. 30th we begin a journey through Paul’s letter to the Christians in Rome.

This study in our Sunday morning sermons will take us to the completion of Ordinary Time at the end of November. As churches make major transitions tensions, some of them longstanding and many of them understood to be ‘principal’, can come to the surface. They threaten the unity that the church is called to. Paul’s letter to the Romans can be reduced to one word, “Welcome”, but under and behind that word ‘welcome’ is a theology of grace and reconciliation that is designed to check tensions at the door.

Our preaching series is based on a forthcoming book by the Rev. Dr. Scot McKnight, Canon Theologian for the C4SO Diocese, and one of our resident theologian/ teachers at Redeemer.

Recordings of previous and current sermons, including the recent four-part series in the Book of James with Canon Jay, are available online.
