Preparations for the 2025 Winter Clothing Drive

For the October 2025 Winter Clothes Drive, we are making efforts throughout the year to make the event a success!  You’re invited to help as we think ahead! Here are some opportunities to consider:

Clearance items! Keep an eye out for winter coats, boots, hats and gloves, many of which are on clearance sale now! You can send items purchased online to the church directly (107 Highwood Avenue, Highwood, IL 60040) or drop them off at the church office or the dropbox at the Highwood Public Library.

Used Items: If you have used winter clothing or boots in good condition that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the winter clothing drive. We can use winter coats, snow pants, winter boots, hats, mittens, and scarves in children and adult sizes. These can be dropped off during the month of March at one of our dropboxes located at the Highwood Public library or outside the church office.

Fundraising Events: The team that organizes the clothes distribution would like to host a few fundraising events throughout the spring and summer months, such as a bake sale, car wash, or  ‘Food Truck Sundays.’ If you would like to help organize these events, please reach out to Jenni McCarthy or Karen Hayes.

Storage Space: As we collect more items, we are in need of a bit more space for storage. If you have space in your home and would be willing to hold on to some items until the fall, please reach out to Heather at the church office.
