Our first “Sent-Forth” Sunday will take place on June 22nd. Those “going forth” that morning will have the option of participating in community clean-up or of walking local neighborhoods in prayer. Those with physical limitations or young children are invited to pray in Everts Park. (Please note that nursery care will also be available at the church). We’ll provide materials for trash clean-up as well as some suggestions for how to engage in a prayer walk. Prayerfully consider how you might be willing to participate!

On these “Sent-Forth Sundays,” we will practice fulfilling the ending of our liturgy by “going forth” into Highwood in concrete and prayerful ways. These Sundays are not primarily about “accomplishing” something for the community, but about practicing prayerful, loving, Spirit-empowered presence as the overflow of our corporate worship.
