The church is the body of Christ in the world, and is something that breathes and grows. New growth and beginnings are important to the mission of the church, which is why Redeemer has a heart for sending leaders to witness for Christ in the world in a variety of ways.
As part of a group of churches that have a special tie to the Anglican Church in Rwanda through Rwanda Ministry Partners (website forthcoming), we are seeking to follow their example in reconciliation, outreach and church planting.
We also have relationships with a couple of new churches that are seeking to reach people that are not being touched by the Christian church in other ways. These church ‘plants’ are being led or staffed by those with special ties to Redeemer, and they would welcome your prayers and participation in the risky and joyful work they are doing.
Christ Redeemer Church is a new group in the Riverwest area of Milwaukee, emphasizing community connection and the beauty of ‘life together’. Visit their website and learn more about their inspiring vision. http://www.christredeemermke.org/
There are some great churches in Peoria, but still many people who are searching through the ‘big questions’ of life. The Rev. Greg Lynn and Chris Marchand (a former worship leader at Redeemer) are seeking to establish a community that includes both the young and some seasoned people that could be mentors to the young families. The new church is called Epiphany. Epiphany is a member the Anglican Diocese of Quincy.
