Again this year Redeemer has been invited by Oak Terrace School to help their students and families with clothing needs for the upcoming cold weather.

There are two ways you can help with this important ministry to our Highwood neighbors.

First, we need your donations!

We welcome donations of new or gently used winter clothing items in all sizes, including adult. We’re also hoping to serve the Green Bay Preschool community, so we’re looking for items from 2T up. Most needed items include coats, hats, mittens, snowpants, boots, and even blankets. If you would like to donate funds for this instead, please make a gift to Redeemer, noting on your check or Zelle contribution “Winter Clothes.” You can drop off items any time at the church—if the office isn’t open please place in the bin on the porch. You can also purchase items online and have them sent to our church office.

Last year we ran out of items, so if we are able to do even more this year, it will help meet a tremendous need. Please note that we need all items and donations by Monday, November 16th so that we can make purchases and organize items before the coat drive.

Second, we need helpers!

The distribution, which we anticipate will take place as an outdoor “walk up” will take place on November 20th from 3-5 p.m. and November 21st from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (the week before Thanksgiving). All helpers and recipients will be masked and socially distanced. If you’re willing to assist, please contact Jenni McCarthy. Spanish speakers will be helpful, but knowing Spanish is not a requirement for helpers.

Let’s love our neighbors well in this season of need, in the Name of Jesus. Thank you!
