This is my fourth visit to Rwanda, and its starting to feel like a real adventure.  Without rehearsing all the details, let me just note that we are in Brussels, very tired, looking forward to actually being on the flight to Rwanda tomorrow (Saturday) after missing the flight the last two days.  First, because our plane out of Chicago had mechanical difficulties, and then this morning, when the make-up flight also had mechanical problems and arrived too late for us to make the connection.  I was beginning to wonder if United still had any airworthy old 767’s.

But we are in good spirits.  Please pray for the remainder of this trip, because when we arrive (if we arrive) late Saturday we will have to journey north of the city to Musanze in the mountains for ministry early Sunday morning.  Amanda at St. Michaels (that service begins at 7:30am for those of you prone to complain about 9 or 10 on a weekend) and myself at the Cathedral…a later start for a 3 hour marathon.  But it will be joyous to be there, and we’ve had no storms, snakes or other serious obstacles to hinder our way, like another famous 4th journey (see Acts 27 and 28).

More soon…
