Giving
At Church of the Redeemer we believe giving is an integral part of discipleship.
We give in gratitude for God’s own generosity to us and to the world, in faith that the God who loves us will provide what we need, and in obedient hope that God will use what we give to provide for the needs of others.
How To Give
We offer several ways for those who are part of our community to support Redeemer financially:

Place checks or cash in the offering basket during our regular Sunday services.

Mail checks to the church office, or have your bank send a check automatically.

Give online directly from your bank using Zelle (sending to recipient ‘chredeemer@gmail.com’), either as a one-time gift or as a recurring donation.

Frequently Asked Questions about Giving

Yes. We send giving statements for tax purposes after the close of each calendar year.

All gifts received go into our general fund (for paying bills, payroll, supplies, building maintenance, etc.) unless otherwise designated.

To give to our Benevolence Fund (money set aside to help community members with acute financial needs), specify “Benevolence” in the memo line of a check or Zelle, or in the dropdown “Fund” menu in Church Center.

We do not accept designated funds except for those already approved by our vestry: the Benevolence Fund (see above), and the Building Fund (used to pay down the principal on our mortgage).

At Redeemer, we take transparency, accountability, and healthy oversight seriously. The church treasurer prepares financial statements and balance accounts each month, which are then reviewed by our vestry as the primary financial stewards of the church. An independent, professional bookkeeper keeps our records GAAP compliant, and each of our accounts, including the Benevolence account, have at least two signatories for greater accountability. If you ever have a financial question or concern, please raise it with our treasurer or a member of the vestry.
