Redeemer Kids
Kids are beloved members of the family of God!
On Sunday mornings, children are full participants in worship. Kids of all ages participate in musical worship at the beginning and Eucharist at the end of the service, leaving the sanctuary for age-appropriate engagement with Scripture and prayer in the middle.
Currently on Sunday mornings, here’s what you can expect in each of our classrooms:
4 years – 3rd grade:
The younger children hear the Bible story of the day as we work chronologically through Scripture, tracing God’s grand story of redemption. In addition, we take a few weeks each quarter to learn about prayer, catechesis, and saints.
0-3 years:
Babies and toddlers are invited into a safe space to rest and play during the service.
4th & 5th grade:
The older children dive deeper into catechesis including the Lord’s Prayer, Ten Commandments, and Apostles’ Creed. Each of these is broken down and discussed with application for our lives today.
We Are Committed to the Safety of Our Children.
Every person who serves with our children has gone through safety training and passed a background check. In addition, we require two trained adults be present at all times in our classrooms.
Policies are important for the health and vitality of the church. They provide safeguards to protect the vulnerable and protocols for cases of abuse and misconduct. Here are the policies for children, youth, and victims of abuse in our diocese. If you see or are experiencing behavior that concerns you, please do not hesitate to contact the Ombudsman. We want our community to be a safe place for all.
