Before You Arrive
-
Most people dress in “nice casual” clothes. You’re welcome to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
-
There’s a public parking lot directly across the street from our building, as well as street parking. We’re also just a few blocks away from the Highwood Metra station if you prefer to take public transportation.
-
Not fully, much as we would like it to be. We do have an industrial lift that can to navigate between levels for those for whom stairs are difficult.
-
Our services usually last about 90 minutes.
During Worship
-
We worship using the Anglican liturgy, which includes spoken call and response, Scriptures, music, and Holy Communion each week. Our music is eclectic and team-led, including everything from classic hymns to contemporary choruses to Taizé refrains to songs we’ve written ourselves.
-
Everything you need to participate is printed in our weekly order of service.
-
Anyone who has been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
For most services we offer nursery care for children up to age three. Older children and youth begin and end the service with their parents, then benefit from age specific classes during the middle of the service. We also have a kid-friendly space in our sanctuary with books, fidgets, etc.
-
We do our best to keep the volume level low enough that we can hear one another sing. Our building is equipped with a T-Coil hearing system for those who need a volume boost.
After Worship
A lot of people enjoy staying around for coffee, treats, and conversation. We understand if you need to dash, but we’d love to get to know you if you can stay!
What happens after the service is done?
