Emily Cool Greener is the Children’s Ministry Leader at Redeemer. Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, she came to the Chicago area to attend Wheaton College, where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. She has ten years of experience working with children in various settings—from suburban Cincinnati to inner-city Chicago, from the wilderness of northern Wisconsin to a village in Uganda. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, concentrating in Elementary Education.

Emily feels honored to help shepherd Redeemer’s little ones as she lives out her call to teach and learn from children. Her energy and creativity, as well as her passion for justice are an integral part of the way she follows Jesus.

She and her husband Jonathan live in an intentional community on the northwest side of Chicago, where you can often find them making crafts, riding bikes, or playing games.
